Yes! They've released the desktop app, it's only taken them 4.5 years to release the feature that actually will actually make it useful. I'm finally going to be supplementing my external hard drive based back up with cloud based back up - finding a  service that would provide both enough space and sync large enough files conveniently for free has always been an issue (yes, I'm a cheapskate Tongue Out anything really important I've just kept backed up to my uni account Tongue Out).

And while they suggest that the average user won't need more than 7Gb I think that may change with the release of the app. Also the graph they provide probably includes all those accounts that are never used (which I suspect is the majority since the lack of a desktop app has massively impaired Skydrive's usefulness).
