Stupid question, Fav list for IE Metro?

    Where is Fav list for IE Metro? I know, it is a dumb question. But, I couldn't find it. I can do back, next, address bar, and etc.

    Oh, and another stupid question, how do I bring up the address bar? I press Back / Next to bring it up, but, the Back/Next really means Back/Next. I wish to bring up the address bar without navigating away from my page.

    Thank you.

    I think favs went bye-bye. I surmise from the "pin to start" feature that they want you to dump all of your fav's on the start screen so you can live your life in the symantic(?) view, all zoomed out over the miles and miles of tiles you accumulate. Or better yet have you have to perform a search for your fav's using the search charm (though I think charm will be quickly renamed by users if that's the case). So if your trying to find a search site fav you'd be searching for a search. That's like paying taxes twice! Woot!

    I'm installing the CP now so I'll be able to confirm this in a bit.

    @DeathByVisualStudio:

    that would be very strange because WP7 has fav list.

    The lack of favourites does seem a pretty brain dead choice, I'm not convinced that pinning to the start screen is an entirely viable replacement. Even with pinning to the taskbar, I've never wanted all of them there (probably because some of my "favourites" aren't exactly things I visit often, but sites that contain particularly useful information I might need in future.)

    To get the appbar up, you can either swipe from the top of the screen or right-click.

    The pinned sites do also show up on the "new tab" page, so that's good at least, but like Andy I use much of my favourites as a store for "things I might need sometime in the future", so this is hardly a good replacement. Good thing then that I'll likely never use Metro IE, unless I get a tablet, and I still don't know what I'd use one for.

    @AndyC:

    Really, I have to pin it? I don't do that on my WP7 even though my fav list on WP7 is very short.

    @magicalclick: No, I don't either. But I can't find any kind of favourites UI in Metro IE. Although if that stays anything like the current version, I suspect I'll stick to switching back to the desktop version most of the time anyway.

    @AndyC:

    I found a stupid work around, but, it is stupid as hell. Just pin the fav sites and move them all the way back of the Home screen. Basically have bunch of garbage at the end of home screen. You can group them and call them Fav List as well.

    When you click address bar, the pin sites will be listed out. Not sure about 50 favorites, I assume a scroll bar will be there.

    It is super stupid because you cannot backup your favorites, which is useless. But, if you want a remotely fav list experience, that's what you can do right now.
