Yes, I have heard stories of people Being forced to read this book when their organization is going through 'change' (read 'job cuts).  But read out of that context, and certainly from my own perspective as a freelance developer it helps to focus on the advantages of change. (Whereas given out in the context of job cuts it is at best a misguided at worst plain condescending!)

Side Note: I worked in an organization that was going through a big change process that they code named 'OSLO'.  Turns out this 'secret' code word was an acronym for 'Out Sourcing & Lay Offs'!  (To their credit they didn't suggest that those affected should read this book)
