My SSD came loose in the middle of a 5 hour computation, while asleep when I was moving locations, so I got a dreaded HDD initialization error and thought I lost everything at first, but after putting it back in place with some stuff to hold it in more securely, it's back to life right where it left off. Amazing. Maybe that would have worked before in Windows 7, but whatever, it's amazing.
I'm pretty sure that was a use case for Windows 8...
@snorfys: Wow, this is your first post to C9 ... ... how's Redmond working out?
