ive posted many times about mr FB - Harvard drop out... somewhat closed system = comparisons to billg are inevitable.

MS cant buy FB anymore - but maybe they could make a deal - one last deal before SteveB goes - that would align the 2 companies and make zuckerburg ceo - yip you heard me right.

The combined company would BLOW AWAY ANY OTHER TECH COMPANY WORTH

    ?

    - apple? non issue - they want top of market $ nice niche

but you are against google and android

    - google.  if you were google would you rather...

    - take out ms like it has been doing providing free stuff to people
    and
    - waiting for the right moment to kill fb on all android for google+?

or - would you totally be afraid of an FB/MS coalition/company - with KID at helm?

Uhmmm... they day Zuckerburg is CEO of Microsoft is the day I completely leave the ecosystem. His track record with security is so bad that I could never trust anything he's got his hands in.

    *worst* *idea* *ever*

Not to mention he has a reputation for being an * and treating his employees pretty badly.

I can't take the guy seriously. He looks like a kid who just inherited his family's fortune.

Really Jamie? I usually agree with your posts, but not this one. Zuckerberg is a lucky idiot.

The next CEO really doesn't matter.  I doubt the CEO will have that much influence anyway.

This 1 programming language for phone, xbox, win8 is probably on track and won't change (Silverlight 2 except it doesn't work on mac and the potential to work on other systems)

I doubt the CEO will change what is happening with Azure.

What can the CEO do to Xbox, the launch is now and the next console will be 5+ years away.

Office/Office365/Cloud stuff, subscriptions... the market will drive that.

    Surface advertising...Can't get any worse.

What's this new CEO going to do?

If the Windows team becomes like the Office team (in terms of the way they react to suggestions from outside), I myself would be in deep disappointment.

Huh? Don't you have that backwards? Sure the Office 2013 client is hideous but the Office team seems to be breaking free of Windows and more about providing their customer many ways to use Office on many types of devices. I sure hope that translates into more avenues for revenue for the Office team.

@DeathByVisualStudio:I'm not sure, I've filed multiple request on lack of functionalities / unintutive  or unreasonable behaviours on Office Automation both on MSDN support calls and UserVoice, none of them ever got implemented for 5+ years.

While I could understand Microsoft is probably switching her focus on Office 365, I can't help but get the impression that it's one of the least effective division in Microsoft. And even request on providing programming interface to Office 365 largely goes unanswered. (You can write App for Office, but not intergrating existing WinForm Applications / Azure Web Applications with it)
