    Apply your own CSS styles to Channel 9!

    Use your browser's "User Stylesheet" functionality[1]...
    Together with the custom favelet included in the "Save" link below...

    ... and fully customize Channel 9!

    Yes, you can even customize different user posts according to the posting user!

    (Caveat - customizing posts by poster only works if they have a custom avatar.)

    But, I need your help coming up with practical applications of user styles...  Post them here!

    Some examples I've thought of... put a Microsoft logo background on posts by Microsoft employees.  This makes the Microsoftie posts stand out.

    Problem - wide images make the site have a horizontal scrollbar (bad...)
    Solution - put a hardcoded width on the "reply" divs!  Put overflow: scroll and you can still see the wide images... but the horizontal scrollbar is ONLY ON THAT REPLY, and the rest of the site wraps naturally.

    There's my stylesheet that brings back parts of the old design, including more legible fonts and colors.

    Good one!  Missed that post the first time around.

    My favelet sticks an id="channel9_msdn_com" on the Channel9 <body> tag.  So your stylesheet could be put into an internet-wide user stylesheet, simply by prefixing each of your selectors with
    body#channel9_msdn_com

    For example your
    .photDiv {
    float: left;
    margin-right: 10px;
    margin-bottom: 5px; }
    would become
    body#channel9_msdn_com .photDiv {
    float: left;
    margin-right: 10px;
    margin-bottom: 5px; }
    Handy if your browser doesn't support per-site user stylesheets.
