My 1998 bag was so good, I used it for nearly 10 years. Leather bottom, heavy stitching, and a very heavy, strong fabric. The next bag I tried to use as my everyday bag was the 2011 Atlanta bag, but the corners of my 17" Dell 6510 notebook shredded the lightweight fabric within 6 months. I'm pretty green - I recyle everything I can. I'd argue that making a bag that lasts 10 years is much more 'green' than making 10,000 out of recycled, lower quality materials that don't last 6 months!
