I'm responsible for Configuration Management at my enterprise, involving application configuration and deployment, MDM, Microsoft and 3rd party patching/updating, client security, etc.

Would anyone be interested in setting a meetup during TechEd?  Maybe during lunch or something?  Would like to start forming some networking to find out what everyone else is doing, successes and failures, etc.

@patrickbdunlap:Sounds good! Definitely ping me when we're there and we must hook up.  It would be nice to see how each of us does ConfigMgr in our environment and maybe we can learn a thing or two as well.  Hope others will join too.

We don't use ConfigMgr at work but I'd like to pick some brains from those who do so I can see if there's enough benefits that we'd see to justify the cost of implementation because I'd like to be running it at work.

Mike, now following you on Twitter.  My enterprise is currently using BMC Blade Logic for Client Automation (Marimba), has less to do about what tools you are using but the postion of configuration management as part of your duties. We may move to something else in a year or so but it will still be CM.

I have been working with configuration manager for the last few months and would also be interested in meeting up to get ideas and share.

Jperry, if you have a twitter account, go ahead and add that to your profile and I will follow you and send out tweets the weekend before the con.

For those of you didn't know, you can follow the hashtag #configmgr on Twitter to monitor and participate in ConfigMgr stuff.

If you follow this forum, I will post the meetup here.  Hoping they would have created adhoc groups like they did last year in the forums but I guess this will have to do.

@patrickbdunlap:Patrick, please send me a tweet or DM for the meetup.  I don't get notification for posts here nor do I check it as often as Twitter. Thanks.

@MatsO:You'll find a lot of resources for ConfigMgr on Twitter. Follow the right people and hashtags and you'll be golden. Facebook is where you post what you had for lunch! Smiley

I also am responsible for SCCM and also adding VDI and APP-V.  I am in the process of migration our college from SCCM 2007 to 2012.  Would love to meet up with other SCCM admins.

I'm an SCCM admin as well. If you've never been to TechEd be sure to hit up a session or two that Wally Mead is speaking at. He goes fast, you gotta be listening but you get some good information from those sessions. We've done our migration from 07 to 12 but now we need to upgrade to SP1. Anyone have some spare time I can borrow?
