Myself and Morgan Webb are delivering the TechEd Pre-Con on "DevOps for the IT Professional" and have a plan to dig deep into some of the current and unannounced technologies from Microsoft relevant in this space with a perspective from the operations / IT angle. That being said, we're still curious to hear from you:
What technologies or topics would you like to see us cover in more depth?
Do you want hands-on labs or not?
Certain problems you have and want answered?
@dtzar:Thanks for sharing the info. Looks like a great pre-con session.
@Harjit:Thanks! Are you registered for it? Regardless - if you have thoughts on the topic, would enjoy hearing them.
@dtzar:Sadly, I'm not doing a pre-con this year. Would love to connect with you while I'm there during the week.
I'm very interested in this topic, but the description seems extremely broad. What type of technologies do you intend to cover during this? As for hands on labs I am not sure how do-able that is on a pre-con scale but if it can be done I would be interested in it.
@mattgrif: Sorry for the delay in response; I thought I was subscribed to this thread, but wasn't and now I am! We now have updated details on what we plan to cover! Check them out via this blog post which Morgan and I worked on: http://bit.ly/OSU1eP
The PreCon description should be updated shortly to reflect this.
The description looks good Matt. Being new to the idea of DevOps I'll just be soaking it in. Hands on labs are always great if there's time. It looks to me like you have a lot to cover though. I'm up for anything, thanks for asking.
@UtahStu: Thanks for the feedback/comments. We will likely have an optional lab during the scheduled lunch break which you'd have to do with your own laptop. You're right - lots to cover!
Hi Matt, Do you know where we're going to be on Sunday? The only part of my schedule that isn't synched is the pre-con and I can't seem to find where we're meeting. Not a huge deal, I'm sure I'll find you if I don't hear something beforehand.
