    Thought about wearing my kilt but my wife, my fashion consultant poo pooed that idea.  I think it was the TechEd in 2007 in Orlando, I wore my Mickey ears ºOº

    Full spectrum, you'll see suits through pajamas.  Most important thing is comfy shoes - you're going to be walking a lot.

    Many people end up wearing some of the many free shirts that are available; last year I only packed 2 t-shirts, and went home with over 30.

    There are people who bring and wear their vendor t-shirts from previous conferences and wear them, then throw them out.  Go home with a suitcase full of shirts for next year's TechEd.  Smiley

    @DanielStinson:Thanks for posting. That's awesome. So of all the swag, what was your favorite single item?

    @DBegley @DanielStinson I'm curious to know what item was your favorite as well!  It's time to start planning our booth swag and we'd love some input!

    The X-10 USB Flash drives were one of my favs as they had 8GB of disk space compared with 1GB or 2GB for the others.  The daily Microsoft Office giveaway t-shirts in different daily colors were nice along with the t-shirts from Splunk.  My other favs were the mini LED flash lights which really come in handy.

    @Harjit thanks for the great feedback!  I'll keep those ideas in mind!

    @hdiamond:Found the perfect swag for TechEd attendees. You'll make a ton of friends and your booth swarmed with activity. Hahaha.

    How fitting Houston and them cowboys

    I second the comfy shoe thing, make sure they're well broken in. There were a couple of folks who were very flashy dressers in the past, people wanted their picture taken with them. So a kilt might work, especially if you bring a full set of Highland pipes! Or possibly a Borat style mankini!

    @DanielStinson: I can't decide really. The collection you have is quite spectacular! Though I am partial to the sequined hat!

    @Microspecialist: Re: cowboys in Houston...I was surprised and also informed by @Joey Snow before our site visit in December that Houston is not a cowboy town. It is an oil town and it shows. Check out the stores at their mail The Galleria and you'll see!

    @Seadawg: I third the comfy shoe thing. Everyone should start breaking in new shoes now. You'll be thankful you did!

    @tkilmer: It is very relaxed dress code be prepared to walk and be comfortable all day and night. I went to TechEd LA and Atlanta and did every day with shorts and a polo shirt. I put on dress slacks one night for an upscale dinner with a vender. Travel light as you can Microsoft will give you a nice backpack or laptop bag you can carry all your swag in.

    @DanielStinson:What no gyrocopter thingy?

    For those who haven't gone before, there is lots of swag, but for some you actually have to DO something to get it. IIRC for the copter thing you had to create an Azure account and create some VMs to do certain things.

    However I did get a bunch of T-Shirts and a collection of 8Gb memory sticks from Veeam.
