One more day and TechEd come to an end, I want to give a shout out to the people putting this event together. Everything was well organize and the service was good. It's not an easy task to feed over 10,000 people with hot food items twice a day. I think the services staff did a good job feeding us breakfast, lunch, and snacks.Service with a smile and cheering us up as well (that's a bonus). Compared to VMWorld events I attended the last few years, it's much better. Aloha (Thank you) from a Hawaii attendee.
It really has been a great event! Being a first timer I was amazed at the amount of people and the size of this facility.. Everything and has been fabolous.
I've found the service / hospitality people in Nola have been very friendly and polite everywhere from the airport to the Quarter. The event center staff are amazing, love the ones cheering us on in the mornings.
I'm used to a much more surley attitude from service people back home.
@PeterMariahc123Derricknp:Thank you and Aloha from the TechEd North America planning team. I will share this with the team and make sure they forward to the convention center as well!
Agreed! Event staff has been excellent. Food workers especially.
@Dbegley please do, and +1 to the food staff as well
Agreed! This is my first time to any conference and I have never seen anything this huge run so well.I never forget the the Monday morning breakfast when it appeared the event staff treated us like celebrities and starting on Tuesday's lunch they started cheering.
Other than our meals, lets not forget the folks who tells us were to find the room and restrooms. They are not afraid to ask if you need help.
And also, the shuttle service is second to none!
My first teched and it has been a wonderful memory thanks to the staff and presenters and all the craziness at bourbon street . Makes me want to come back next year to Houston (if only my boss allows - sighhh)
@Dbegley I think it would be interesting to learn some statistic data and information about the event staff people. How many people, where they're from, what is the red, green, black, white color staff?
First time to the Nola for me and Microsoft helped make it a memorable one with the events and knowledge I was able to gain while attending. Selling the Surfaces to us at an extreme discount was a nice bonus.
Great teched 2013 and kudos to Microsoft and all involved in pulling this off
Definitely second that emotion. This was my second New Orleans Tech-Ed, and while I love each and every conference I am able to attend, this got the event logistics all right which were weak last time. Loved every day. The red-shirts (Event Force staff) were omniscient and peerlessly professional, as always.
This was always a dream to attend TechEd. This event DID NOT disappoint!!! Walking in to the mess hall every morning and having people cheer and yell at first was a bit scary, but, I have to admit, by the end of the week I was looking forward to it!! The staff did a WONDERFUL job!! Thank you for all the great planning!! The only thing I would change would be to have the vendor area and the store open up the same time as the different seminar's start (8:30 am). Thank you again for a wonderful job!!
