If your files are prefixed with "Locked-" and have a 4-digit randomly-generated suffix added to the name then I assume you also have the blocking screen from whichever police force or law-enforcement agency is appropriate for your country?
In the UK this is the "West Yorkshire Police" Trojan. There is a longish thread at McAfee's forums about this, with the links to Dr Web to get your files decrypted. You need to supply a non-encrypted version of any encrypted file, along with the encrypted version.
@Hayton: Awesome! you found a great fix to this. I have now all my pictures and other files unlocked. the only trouble was to locate 1 original file of the locked files over 4mb in size, but luckily i managed to find 1 cheers fella.
i have a similar problem , my files are encrypted and the extension .police added, all my files are corrupted and I'm looking for a way to get back at least my photos.
