I once read a 4 page article in New Scientist about theories of faster-than-light travel through worm-holes. It was heavy going, but I kept at it. The last paragraph pointed out that none of this was possible in this universe, but perhaps could be possible
in some other universe where the laws of physics were different. I felt cheated.

And Prof Hawkins might have to accept that time travel is possible -- we just haven't seen the time-travellers because they're too far away!
