I couldn't figure out how to get into my Scobleizer account now that my Microsoft email address is dead and I forgot my password. I guess I could ask Charles, but figured I'd just change to a new identity.

    Scobs,

Please use your other account, scobleizer. I've updated the email address to the one you used for the RobertScoble account.

Except he is the mod and can see the IP addresses so he knows if he posted from the same place or not for both accounts.
  • Lee Bandy on IPv6

Do we really need IPV6? Sure alot of computers are out there but most of them are behind routers so there is only one IP address per router (If I am understanding and it's very likely I am not) and because of that you can cut down the number of IP addresses by thousands.

XML by its very nature is open, but hey, feel free to take full credit for inventing that too.

All they said was that they where using open file formats that used XML. Quit your bitching.

He just said he would take money to represent bad guys. That is evil.

Just some nitpicking. You read that OS X is unhackable, not the hardware and unless you mean it will be illigel for the 360 to be hacked I really doubt that it will be technicilly impossible to be hacked (It just may be more trouble then it's worth for the average guy).
  • “Developers are my life; I love them.” OK, how can you not want to find out more about who said tha

You have techy conversations over dinner and you are uncomfortable in social situations? YOU ARE DEFINATLY A GEEK QUIT DENYING IT.
  • Office 12 - Word to PDF File Translation

Did you change the codebase to use the "C++ way of doing things" versus doing the "C way of things" (OO and C++ features (Templates, operator overloading, etc.) instead of procedural code etc.) Or did you just make the minor changes you needed so it would compile in a C++ compiler and write new code in C++?

I understand you can't rewrite everything in C++ but just wondering how big the change was.

Where the guy was talking about them having the tech to find dependencies for binaries I thought they already had that. Thats what Depends(Start->Run->Depends (May need Visual Studio installed, I cannot remember where its actually located...))  does.

Why can't I just have SOME of the productivity enhancements of VB (like optional parameters and easy event handling) without feeling like an idiot everytime I type "MyBase" or "My Project", etc....?

You'd think that MS would want VBers to feel like real programmers instead of children!!!

As if VB programmers didn't get made fun of enough, you have to dumb it down like this.

    Thanks for nothing.

Is it just me or does MS seems to advertise there products with the use of sterotypes?
