@JoKi:Thank you yet again for the positive feedback -- and for your commitment to fostering a healthy, welcoming environment for *your* community members :).
@JoKi:I'm glad you liked the episode --and thank you for the future topic idea! Technical content is so important, but so hard to get right (or, as you note on your blog: "magical tutorial" syndrome :)).
@Rob: Firstly, I'm sorry to hear that that this episode didn't hit the mark for you :(. On The Open Source Show, we invite guests to share their knowledge, on both technical and non-technical topics of interest to the open source community.
As thought leaders in Observability Driven Development and the founders of o11ycon, we reached out to Honeycomb.io to learn more about the topic and how they're setting out to create a community of practice around observability. To demonstrate the practice and to help people see the concept in action, we thought one of the easiest ways was to talk about they how think about observability and apply it to their development process.
We try not to compress too much into a short video, giving enough background on a topic to whet viewers' appetite, and if interested, inspire them to learn more about a topic. If you have a topic you'd like to hear about, have suggestions on how we can improve, or if you'd like to come on the show to discuss a topic that you think would resonate, please share them with us (opensourceshow@microsoft.com) - we'd love hear from you!
