One question that comes to mind with this is, why do we need Windows 10 FCU to use .Net Standard if the whole .Net runtime (.Net Native) is embedded w/ the UWP package? "you aren't tied to your client's machine"?
[16:58] the "share the user's physical location with other users" has nothing to do with location awareness for filtering news etc. It is for apps that allow users for example to see each other on a map, say to find each other at some excursion or concert etc.
ah, yes right you are - misspoke there. Good catch! Sharing vs interrogating is the difference here. If you interrogate location for purposes of, say, data filtering in your app, the manifest declaration takes care of letting the Store know that your app does this.
@mikehall: how can we get in touch w/ questions/troubleshooting as we build a bot? My bot's working great locally and in azure when I use the emulator but when I try web chat on its listing in the directory or integrating w/ Slack I get errors.
but given the cost (as cited previously) I fail to see why i'd use Xamarin to write anything other than ios/android apps. MVVM provides just as much cross-platform compatibility wholly w/in the c# framework w/o the need for 3rd party tools or purchases...
