  • New Plans for Bill in July 2008

  • Lewis Levin on Office Business Applications

    Thanks, sounds cool!
  • Anthony Tsim chats about the MSDN Virtual Labs

SQL Server 2003? Is that SQL 2000 with service packs?
  • Shanen Boettcher shows off Vista Beta 2

Does you switch between pen and finger mode or is it both always working? Because that would be quite irritating.

Great overview of vista, but I wonder why he has all this laptops above his desk.
  • Sharepoint Products and Technologies 2007 -- the server side of Office

    Cool, a sharepoint video!

Love the product! I wish my download would go a bit faster so I could watch it, only getting 9kb/sec atm:(
  • Jessica Arnold gives us a look at Outlook 2007

Nice, can't wait to use it!

The 'jessica on vacation' on the calender at the sharepoint server, is it planned to get this like 'ajax style' so you see it updating while reading the calender? So I know it at the moment it is set and don't need to refresh to see if she is availible at a timeblock.

What happends when I send a calender outside (the non outlook users part), with the html calender true email, does it gets updated in some way? So when I retrieve the html calender and read the invitation 2 days later, I am able to pick a time which is actually still availible. And not need to pick a few before I am able to have a free slot.

Like if I was your client and you send me one of those mails, and for some reason I am not able to respond directly. When I got the time to read mail, I expect you send me the thing with the current state. It comming true a dynamic channel not true a static (paper) channel.

I see a tabletPC in the background, are there any improvements specialy for the tablet?

  • Michael Wallent: Advent and Evolution of WPF

    Great video!

Nice to hear the background information, and the history of the path the product walks
  • Bill Gates and Tim O'Reilly - A conversation at MIX

Nice Q&A session, wonderfull to see how mr gates is able to again give such an amazing overview of his or the organizations idea. This is not something he is making up to sound good, he really believes it. Not only seeing it happening, but making it happen.

It's amazing to think that he is a person with no real need to work for human survival, but still he works a lot at a very high level to get the technical ideas and think of the business aspect behind them and put them all in to context.

Just one question, in the live stream from the keynote he had some white thing in his hand which he was holding like it was an deck of cards, readdy to start playing poker. It looked like some sort of next generation ipod mini looking device.

What did he do with that device? was it to foward the slides or did it function as something else?

I am registered, but it was not giving a warning like 'this username is already in use' (it just gave the javascript error). Also for some reason I was also getting the error when trying to register as erik_, which is not an already existing user as far as I could see. But anyway I have a working account now =)
