Great talk Yochay!
Folks, in the Splunk demo Yochay showed sending events to a Splunk instance hosted in Azure. You can use our new ARM template in the Azure Marketplace to deploy your own Splunk instances: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/partners/splunk/splunk-enterprisebyol/
Just as a side note, on the show I mentioned I'd be adding piping support to azure-scripty. I've now added that. If you head on over the wiki you'll see an overview under "Declarative Piping"
Ha ha. No I am not still there, I mean i never left Microsoft or my team. I just worked over there for 3 months.
No comments on the data centers....
I am happy to say that people I spoke to were very open to the idea of Azure. Many had no idea though that we even care about OSS/PHP the stacks they care about.
@cbae I was in China for 3 months. I did not leave
@imgen Azure is available in China though there are no data centers located in PRC. There are dcs however in Hong Kong which is very nearby. The signup experience though to use those DCs in Hong Kong is not at all ideal.
Great job Brady!
Keep spreading the MEF love!
I think there's enough serious players like Yahoo and Linked-In using node.js, not to mention tons of other companies, to say it's passed toy status
We'll do both
Preview 5 is much more stable than our previous releases. As far as when our RTM will be, our plan is to ship V1 along with the rest of the web stack (MVC 4 etc) next April.
I've posted the ContactManager using RavenDb sample that I showed in the talk here.
To launch the sample.
