  • Looking at XNA - Part One

Whoa...this stuff might actually motivate me to get a 360. Rory, I love how you are in the interviews...and not confined to the opposite of the camera...the other interviewers should do this type of interview more often Smiley
  • WCF Ships, Doug Purdy Dances, and Don Box Sings

Holy crap man...this is chaotic - I love it.

    On a serious note:

This workflow thing looks neat, if you restrict yourself to simply procedural development...but that isn't really agile. Does WF have a way to do OOP? Building custom classes, etc...

I thought it would be funny to bump this thread...so here we go!

When will I be able to pull this into a Desktop Application and have it automatically display geographical information extracted from my datasource? Smiley

Wasn't it MS who hosted Terra-Server? Why not scrap that old app and call this the upgrade? Smiley
  • Five on Nine - Pilot Episode

Rory, Jason, and Adam were cool.

Jason, you're smarter than I thought, dude Smiley I couldn't really pin you down on an intelligence-meter, because I really have no freaking clue what you do at Microsoft, but crap man - unleash you on the show and you've got brains out the whazoo - actually that would probably be a very serious medical condition to have brains out your whazoo....hmm. You brains stay secured inside your head, but they obviously work very well Tongue Out

Adam, enjoyed seeing you on cam again. You never cease to impress us being a UI guy, as well as a programmer, and still be able to hold your own in a conversation on OS's. Hella-sweet dawg. Oh, and by the way tell your wife not to put cool music on her myself, I found it while looking at Softie-spaces and now I'm slightly addicted to the song on there...wouldn't be bad if it weren't "Somewhere over the Rainbow".

Rory - well, you know. You're damn cool man! Excellent host. Excellent niche. Keep up the good work, and be sure to have Jason and Adam on there again, soon, really soon...as a matter of fact, now, or as soon as possible, slumber party if necessary.

    Rory,

Will 5on9 be getting its own RSS soon? Perhaps a show-page?

    Rory,

You should announce ahead of time when you will be recording the shows, and have a number for niners to call in and suggest a topic to discuss Wink That would give you a chance to have some "seculars" voice their opinions without having to be onsite in WA.

    Just an idea.

  • Five on Nine - Pilot Episode

I mean this in the sweetest possible way, but whoever is doing the free-camera (walking around, etc), should probably get a stand of some sort, the video is very shaky...
  • Five on Nine - Pilot Episode

    Rory,

How about a table, and a few mics (nevermind, I see that you already thought of this!) Smiley

Just started working - so I can't tell you how swee this is yet Wink But, THANK YOU FOR LOWER THIRDS!

    I'll update later.
  • A net-enabled Windows CE photo viewer

Dude, Rory, Big-ups dawg - this video be bangin'. I've exhausted my ebonics vocabulary, so I'm going to use normal geeky-guy words now.

I've got to say that I really love these types of videos. Whenever I see a desk full of widgest and wires I see nothing more than a playground, and I want to explore - glad you and I share that disturbance.

This thing is awesome, and only makes me want to go out and try to build one for myself. I could totally see something like this being setup in my moms out, on her wall. Have it subscribe to an RSS feed and download images of me automatically, and then slideshow through the pictures at specific intervals...she would love that!

Please invest in a BlueTooth mic. The sound quality leaves much to be desired.

The content was great! Keep up the good work!

I haven't watched this video completely through yet but you have a good point - regardless how good the video is here, a bluetooth mic would be sweet, so long as you can get one for everybody being interviewed, although the sound-quality is typically pretty good....nevermind, my zeal has gotten out too quickly, I'm on the fence with this one Smiley bah, do whatever - something tells me that you guys want these videos to be as awesome as we do ...
