Microsoft researcher John Platt discusses his enthusiasm for artificial intelligence and machine learning. John is a Microsoft distinguished scientist and deputy managing director of Microsoft Research Redmond who has been working in AI now for 32 years. John tells us about the work done behind Cortana as well as Project Adam.

Machine learning is very interesting! - if we could have an explanation of the basic things (like a deep dive) that goes into certain products in microsoft (i.e. cortana, skype translation, bing, image recognition, etc...) - if possible.
