Installing Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows Phone - Day 1 - Part 2

3 minutes, 3 seconds

Right click “Save as…”

In this brief video, Bob demonstrates where to download and how to install Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows Phone. Additionally, he provides high-level explanations of the additional tools installed to your computer.

  1. Windows Phone Developer Tools (Both c# and VB)
  2. Windows Phone Developer Tools October 2010 Update (Both c# and VB)
  3. Microsoft Visual Basic for Windows Phone Developer Tools - RTW (only VB)

Note:  The current release of Visual Basic support for the Windows Phone Developer Tools requires that you have Visual Studio 2010 Professional or higher, and does not yet support Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows Phone; if you do not have VS 2010 Pro or higher, you can download a trial version here. This add-on provides support for using Visual Basic to build Silverlight Windows Phone applications only at this time.
