Similar to the previous lesson, here we investigate the LayoutAwarePage and the VisualStateManager and learn how we can provide alternate layouts for snapped and filled states.

  • If you don't have the resolution you can use the simulator which should enable you to snap.

    You can use the Device window in Visual Studio and click on the different views to see the xaml designer as you make changes.
    Also, there's no need to open a second app in the simulator to view the app in snapped mode. Just hover the mouse at the top of the simulator screen until the pointer turns to a hand, then right-click and drag the app to the snapped screen area.
