How do we save it so that the emulator shows our progress? I have to keep debugging and re-running the emulator.

Do you have resources for images used in project. ie. are they already in Visual Studio environment.

I followed the tutorial, and created a blank app, but when I try to run it, I just end up with an unresponsive Android UI. And this is after about half an hour of deployment! I stopped the app several times and then tried to run it again, and I once even was able actually to get a blank page of the application, but there was no "Welcome from Xamarin.Forms!" message. Other times I saw a black screen on the emulator which would sometimes change to a white screen with a stalled animation showing a sector of a circle and a message "Checking info". I have to say, after Embarcadero RAD Studio and Qt Creator this is a rather frustrating experience. I have to add, I am running Visual Studio on a rather power machine with an Intel 12-core Skylake-X CPU, 64 GB of quad-channel RAM, and NVIDIA GTX 1070 GPU. Definitely, I will not be using Visual Studio and Xamarin for creating mobile apps. I will rather pay over $1K for Embarcadero RAD Studio license.

It turns out, I had to enable Hyper-V acceleration, as explained here:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/xamarin/android/get-started/installation/android-emulator/hardware-acceleration?tabs=vswin&pivots=windows#hyper-v

Why did not you mention this in the very beginning?
