Wow! What a refreshing and very captivating interview. I love watching Channel 9 and I am glad that I decided to watch this entire video. Rebecca is phenomenal and embodies what I love about Microsoft. My “inner voice” is raving with delight about this video but I will keep my “outer voice” comments brief. Kudos to everyone!

Best part: she drinks from her glass of water when the interviewer states that Microsoft is "overpopulated with men" Smiley

I met Rebecca back in January at an event she helped organize, she's a bright and charming woman.

    cool Smiley

although, each time i watch behind the code i cant help thinking about where those people in the audience come from.. are they devs? (doubt it) are they actors? what are they?

while behind the code is significantly weaker than the interviews with charles, adam, dan beth and the others, its pretty good, this oen in perticular was very good Smiley for people outside microsoft though it would be nice with a more introduction of people like this.. Smiley i'd never heard of rebecca before and i fear i wont hear about her again for some time.. that is unfortune because she was very interesting to listen to Smiley i think she'd be very good at speaking at conferences and giving talks and stuff like that because she didnt seem markety at all, something that alot of execs do..
it would be nice to see some more technical interviews about what she actually does Smiley

They are Microsoft employees. This includes all varieties (devs, PMs, testers, Architects, Directors, GMs, etc). It's a real audience of real people.

Did you look at the "Related Posts" section in the side bar (top right)?  Or check out the Rebecca Norlander tag (shown in the body of the post).

ok Smiley do you have to buy tickets or something? or is there like a signup? handy way to miss a boring meeting and also learn something Smiley
or do they just wake up in the audience with a headache and memory gaps? Big Smile (i kid, i kid.. Smiley but its interesting non there less)

i watched the wm_in episode last night too and it was strikingly similar to this interview Smiley she's a really good speaker i must say Smiley charles you should do a walk-in in her office and pick her brain about what she's working onnow Smiley
