In this episode Nick Harris and Chris Risner are joined by Santosh Chandwani, Snr. Program Manager on Microsoft Azure's mobile workload. In this video, Santosh talks about Hybrid Connections and how they enable you to connect your Azure resources to any on-premises resource. Hybrid Connections allow you to securely expose specific resources (such as databases and web services) without altering on-premises firewall settings. Santosh demonstrates connecting a website to a local database and then connecting the same website running in Azure to the same database without making any coding changes using a Hybrid Connection by installing and configuring the Hybrid Connection Manager. He also shows a Mobile Service using a on-premises database for all data storage. These Hybrid Connections can be controlled on-premises via Group Policies and support event and audit logging.
