In this episode Chris Risner and Haishi Bai are joined by Narayan Annamalai, a Program Manager on the Virtual Networks team. Today Narayan discusses Azure Virtual Networks as well as hybrid connections. VNets allow you to create a secure and isolated trust boundary for your resources within Azure. This also allows you to seamlessly connect resources located on-premises with those located within Azure. Also covered is the new ability to do internal load balancing. This allows for load balancing of resources that are not exposed via public endpoints. This is great for middle tier and database backends as well as any other resource that you're only going to consume internally. Finally, Narayan reviews several different technologies for VPN including point-to-site, site-to-site, and carrier-provided MPLS.
