Deploying Hortonworks HDP on Microsoft Azure

Play Deploying Hortonworks HDP on Microsoft Azure

In this week's episode of Data Exposed Scott welcomes Rohit Bakhshi, a Product Manager from Hortonworks. Rohit flew up from the Bay area in California to show us their awesome support for Apache Hadoop with Hortonworks Data Platform as an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) on Microsoft Azure. This is exciting news as it provides customers with flexibility and scalability for their big data deployments. Rohit jumps right in and shows us how easy it is to create a HDP cluster in Microsoft Azure. The demo gets even better when Rohit breaks out Apache Falcon and shows us how it can automate data movement for disaster recovery scenarios between your on-premises HDP cluster and your HDP cluster running in Microsoft Azure. Apache Falcon provides seamless data motion between on-premises and the cloud.  Rohit shows us how simple it is to configure process pipelines using Apache Falcon. This is an episode you don't want to miss.
