DataBound Episode 2 - Semantic Search

Join Roger as he covers database and BI development on the SQL Server Information Platform. You can follow and interact with the show @SQLServer.
In the DataBound premier, Roger is joined by Aaron and Chris from Extended Results to discuss a custom PowerPivot application they developed for Microsoft called Calendar Analytics. This free Excel 2010 / PowerPivot app can be used to do some very useful analysis on your Microsoft Exchange calendar information whether it's hosted on-premise or in Office 365. This app is getting a lot of buzz and is a great example of how to deliver useful analytics to the average working professional with familiar tools they use every day.
If you want to learn more about PowerPivot, check out the SQL Server 2008 R2 Business Intelligence Training Course on MSDN. In particular, check out the last unit named Introduction to Self-Service Reporting and Analysis with SQL Server 2008 R2.
What a great feature! Make sure to download the application @ tinyurl.com/calendaranalytics and continue to follow our BI and Data TV-Shows on www.bizintelligence.tv !

Oh and one editorial comment, the tounge-in-cheek term "Mind Destroying Expressions" was not of my invention. I first heard it from Peter Myers, who heard someone else use it. Will the real creator of "Mind Destroying Expressions" please stand up!
Why doesn't this show appear in the C9 podcast feed? I would have missed it had I not stumbled in here from someone else's link!
Please add to the podcast feed. Thanks.
Hi, Cool feature.
But I got error when try to download my calender. Something about missing date. EWS should be enable. What is wrong?
@Jonas Claudelin
Could you please provide us with some more details? What is the exact message?
Thanks!
Episode 2 anyone?
cool feature.
I have been looking for some resources for me to learn how to programmatically import data to powerpivot and create a powerpivot worksheet. I have not found one. The video gives me important starting information. But I still have questions like below and hope I can get answer from you:
Does the final release of SQL Denali provide capability or APIs for developer to programmatically import data to powerpivot and create a powerpivot worksheet?
Thank you
where can I download teh source code for the app?
Thank you.
@rollo:Coming soon, have a very cool app to show built around statistical semantic search in SQL Server Denali...
@Hua Yang:This is a commercial app so I don't think they are sharing their source code.
@Hua Yang:Still no PowerPivot API's in Denali unfortunately.
