Inside Windows Phone #07: Meet Some of the People Behind Windows Phone

You probably already know that the final version of Windows Phone Developer Tools was shipped today! In celebration, we decided to walk through the corridors of Studio F (where most of the devs, PMs, and testers are), and talk with a few of the people who are behind this great release of Windows Phone and the Tools. Meet Tom Christie, Jorge Raastroem, Thomas Fennel, Charlie Kindel, Abolade Gbadegesin, Akhil Kaza, Anil Dhawan, Peter Torr, Bruno Silva, and Luke Nyswonger, just a few of the many folks on the Windows Phone team.

Special thanks to our camera man Michael O'Neill, who had to chase Jaime and me through Studio F while carrying all his equipment.

  • I love those words, "1 GHz sounds like a more than it is", but still a 1 GHz processor in a phone is still awesome!  The home automation app is very cool.

I had a lot of fun watching this, nice to meet the people behind this impressive mobile release.  It's going to change so many things for mobile.

It's really great to see the people behind the phone and in hallway-style format. Nice work, Jaime and Yochay. Thank you for doing this. Very 9. Smiley

What's up with numbering guys ? I couldn't find all the past episodes ? Don't skip numbers please... Keep a sequence. For eg, where is Episode #6, #5 and so on?

  • Ya - nice catch Wink more (videos) are coming today... Wink

  • Firstly, Charles nailed it, this is very 9 and I really enjoyed it.  It's nice to see some more of the folks working hard on this project so kudos to everyone on RTM.

Secondly, glad to hear the other videos are coming I was curious about that too.

  • Bent Rasmussenexoteric stuck in a loop, for a while

Abolade Gbadegesin, didn't he work on the Windows network stack before Windows Phone?

  • SimsaullSimsaull

you should do a "Show us your tech" episode with the last guy, he seems to have a lot of great stuff to show.
Nice video, it's always good to see who's behind the proucts we love.

  • Indeed always interesting in seeing who's behind the Windows Phone experience! Plus I guess a lot changed throughout the year from going from "Windows Mobile 7" to Windows Phone 7, guessing there are some interesting stories with regards to this, hopefully we will see some of this in future videos.
