Description

Here is a smart way to use sound to provision IoT devices with wireless configuration, Cloud connection credentials and more. Chirp (https://chirp.io) created enterprise-ready, cross platform SDKs for transmitting data over sound and the Azure IoT team collaborated with Chirp to implement a nice and easy way to setup an MXChip devkit and connect it to Azure IoT Central using just sound.

Brilliant! In cases where we don't use an MX Chip devkit, such as RPi, I imagine it's still very useful to use chirp for onsite wi-fi provisioning. That in itself is huge. Just getting the device the internet is all that's needed for DPS and auto-configuration to launch and complete the process of registration and initial config. Is that sensible?

@Mark:You are spot on! The use of the MXChip board is just meant to illustrate the use case and the Chirp SDK is usable on other hardware
