I was looking for some information on securing data at rest specifically in OneDrive for Business. Microsoft just started encrypting data at rest in Office365 but is that the same thing?
Also, if it does provide encryption on data at rest, does this automatically happen for Adobe and all other file types that one might upload? What are the limitations?
And, what type of encryption is it, e.g., AES-256? Where can I find details on this?
We announced per-file encryption at rest in May:
Per plan and announcement details above it began rolling out in July and is AES-256.
