    You can set DOTNET_BUNDLE_EXTRACT_BASE_DIR env variable to your custom directory instead of OS temp folder. But that directory won't get cleaned up automatically so i guess issues like missing files or overwriting existing files may arise. In .Net 5 they are aiming to fix it. (see here: https://github.com/dotnet/runtime/issues/3778)

    What a bizarre decision to use a console app instead of Worker Services, which have been around for some time now? They handle the discussed eventing, sets up dependency injection and logging, integrates with SystemD AND Windows Services.

    Not even mentioned in the video. Weird.
