[11:55] What task do I need to close (or run) to kill/restart a frozen Start Screen?

the reason to run Explorer.exe not as admin is, that running Explorer as admin would prevent the execution of the new store apps.

Can I view the SMART status of a harddrive in Windows or do I need to install an application for that?

I am running Win 7 Home Premium, 64-bit, on a Gateway NV59C.  When I boot up, my machine takes a long time to recognize my wireless network and connect to it - the bars of signal will just be the spinning wheel of eternity for 2-5 minutes. None of my other devices have this problem.  Any and all suggestions are appreciated.  Thanks! (a)

Hi guys, thanks for your interesting answer to my question.

I'd just like to comment that the Plex implementation on Xbox One is very disappointing, and lacking in a lot of features compared to other platforms.

I tried it on your recommendation, paid for the subscription and was less than impressed. I bought the Xbox to use as a media center in the living room, but so far my little Android stick does a better job due to no DTS, poor 3D support, poor remote implementation, and poor library management. Don't want to be all whiney, but I thought Xbox was supposed to be a complete entertainment solution. Even the HDMI input does not support surround passthrough :(

    Hi!
For the software picks I can recommend to take a look at the Wox project: https://www.getwox.com/
It is an application launcher inspired by Launchy, open source and it is under active development on Github. Since Launchy updates halted without an official x64 support, this could be a good alternative.
I'm using the version 1.1.1 and works pretty nice and has a bunch of useful plugins, including Kitty integration.

Hey awesome show by awesome people. Keep it up.

What do you think about Raspberry 2 with Windows 10 for HTPC use after its available? Possible or rather not?

How about a comparison of MediaBrowser to Plex? Last I checked, Plex did not have a WMC add-in and neither really solves the LiveTV integration issue without using WMC in some capacity to actually do the heavy lifting.
