Haha! Or just "Best Show" - is not a bad name for the show...

btw. could you guys make the screen recording record at a higher frames rate? I guess it was recorded Camtasia that did drop the FPS.

    Nice! I like this show.

But why make it look so depressing? Everything is dark. Lighten it up! Don't make it look as you're filming in a cubicle.

You guys should zoom in a little when you're in web-view of a video. Showing the Silverlight player in the page is great, looks cool, but you should zoom in a bit more so I'm not watching only 20% of the screen with a bunch of non-important stuff around it.

That's really true... Guys don't make Microsoft appear as if you all life in black rooms. Lighten it up!

I like how Digg nation did it.  Sitting on a couch with Beer.  That's how we all code, right?!?!  Tongue Out

This is a show that seeks to be whatever Niners, Dan and Brian evolve it into (there, Sven, one of my Niner platitudes for you:)). It's a dynamic show that emits its type-ed-ness at runtime.

So, I'm partial to "Name This Show" as show identifier since that provides for maximum thematic variety. In a real sense, dynamically typed. Smiley

Looking forward to the next episode!

It's like a Channel 9 metashow. So I propose Channel 9 Reflection Weekly. Tongue Out [Absolutely some DiggNation similarity - but DiggNation is a bit too "lallet" (Danish slang word)]

I love the concept ... although I agree it could use a little pick me up.  I think you should make it more like Best Week Ever (VH1) or the Soup (E!).  Both of these shows give out an award each week, like Who's having the Best Week Ever ... Barbara Walters from the View because she said panties on the air (or something similar).

Hey everyone - loving the discussion, thanks for all the great ideas and suggestions!

Just wanted to let anybody know who tried to email bestshow.nospam@microsoft.com earlier that the problem with our Inbox has been fixed so it won't bounce back any more. Sorry about that. (oh and of course remove the .nospam part)

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to some Rock Band... Cool

Absolute top priority should be a name that says whats in the tin:

    "Whats cool this week"
    "This week on Channel 9"
    "Developer Week"

I actually like "geek week" the best (but then I would ..)

Here's something I'd like to hear in next week's show: why is there a month and a half between the RTM and digital distribution of Vista SP1?

    Dan,

If you going to talk over the videos, at least mute the audio, it's rather distracting.

    Cheers!

You guys should make a feed for the show that's easy to find on Zune Marketplace.  It would be nice to subscribe and just having it waiting for me ready to watch on the go or stream to my Xbox 360.

I also second the C9TV or Channel 9 TV names.  Good content overall, the conference call video was hilarious, at least if you've had to sit through that smooth jazz as many times as i have. Big Smile
