Is there any possibility of us getting direction on the future of WPF from someone at Microsoft? Should we still be investing in it? Amazing technology (and by far my favorite), but some concerns as things like HTML5/MVC get all the buzz, and we don't hear much about WPF any more.

  • Absolutely. Desktop applications are very popular and you should continue to target them if that is what makes sense for you. We are fully committed to helping you use .NET for both modernizing those applications and create new ones in the new platforms if that is what you want (our statement about this commitment here). For more information you can download this comprehensive technology guidance for .NET developers.

@briankel: Thanks Brian. This was exactly what I was looking for. You rock!
