    I'm just wondering what are the plans for the .NET Micro Framework in comparison to boards (e.g. Galileo) running a minified version of Windows (x86). Will netmf still be developed? I reckon there are devices too small to run any Windows or simply being not x86 devices. The Microframework seems to be a bit forgotten… and still it is only an interpreter of the IL and does not compile directly to native code. Will C++ compiler support Cortex-M4 and similar?

    @Spiko

    At Build, we announced that we're re-investing in NETMF to address performance, add modern language features, and update tooling. See Steve's Build 2014 talk.

    Not sure on the C++ compiler question.
