TWC9: 100th Episode! WPF, VS2010 RC tips, Bonus Footage

Picks of the week:
Mayby the purple color of VS 2010 is not the best in the world but I like a lot more the colors of VS 2008 which is too bright for me. After a couple of days you stop noticing the purple anyway so no what ever
Sometime soon I'm going to try out some Sliverlight 4 Phone 7 tutorials. I haven't ever written real usable software before but it just seems so interesting now because of Expression Blend. I know way more about graphics and audio software than programming
My first step will be to make scrollbars with some kind of display that shows the position of the scrollbars from 0 to 127.
I'd just love to see a midi controller app for WP7 that's like Adlibitouch and eventually TouchOSC .
I've got to design some interface elements in Illustrator sometime soon and import it in Expression Blend to see how it all looks.
I know it's possible because Dan and Clint's Robot app sends control data to another computer which then gets interpreted into another form of data the robot understands (I'm assuming that's how it works) so it would work to send info from the phone to an app on a computer that converts it to MIDI NOTE and MIDI CC information that can be sent through MIDI Yoke to another program that supports midi controllers.
Nice episode. Nice stats about MIX10, there was a related video also on Channel9
I too had posted Windows Phone desktop wallpaer at my blog in various sizes-
Dentaku - Correct, what we did was setup a Web server on a laptop (Windows 7 Pro includes IIS, for example) and we send commands via query string. We'll have a future tutorial on just that, but feel free to send us questions as you app idea would be very
cool and we'd love to feature it on Coding4Fun too
As for learning Expression Blend, there are a lot of resources out there, including
.Toolbox design site - https://www.microsoft.com/design/toolbox/
Adam Kinney's Eye's of Blend tutorials

Why did you have to tell me it was purple? I was happy in my colour blind bliss, thinking it was blue and gray. Now I'm not happy. The brain is like that, even if I still looks the same, my brain says it's purple and it's totally not cool. Reminds me
of the time my best friend gave me one of his nice expensive sweaters that his uncle got him for Christmas, and I thought it was so nice of him to give that to me. Then I wore it to school and found out from everyone that it was purple. Yes, he knew I was colour
blind. I felt betrayed. Just like now.
