In this episode, Robert is joined by Phillip Carter, who shows F# 4.1 and the Visual F# Tools for Visual Studio 2017. Phillip shows that the F# Tools now use Roslyn and so you get the same IDE experience you enjoy in C# and VB. And he demonstrates scenarios that showcase the power and efficiency of writing code with F#.

It's great to see F# being integrated in a more equal way to the other managed languages, and it will really help with solutions that use multiple languages with the project system supporting navigation across them.

Phillip is clearly spending too much time working in non F# languages though, hence the brain fart of putting commas between the inputs to the sprintf function..

Any plans to come up with Windows Forms project template for F# ?
