The Microsoft innovation Center in Amman Jordan saw an amazing opportunity in a crisis that was unfolding in their country. A huge influx of refugees was crossing the border from Syria to try to start their lives without fear of war. Jordan's hospitality is already legendary with almost half the population being Palestinian refugees, but this influx was unprecedented.

The MIC manager in Amman, Iman Naimi realized that this new population was ripe to learn a valuable curriculum on how to create a startup and entrepreneurial mindset that she was offering to Jordanian citizens. This training would ready people to either rebuild their homes in Syria or be readily employable in whatever home they end up.

Here is that story.
