Windows Live Adds 20 New Web Services, Including Facebook

Description

Big news! Today, Windows Live is adding 20 new web services into their platform including the highly-anticipated Digg, Facebook, and just around the corner will be MySpace, whose integration will be made possible thanks to MySpaceID.

These services can be added to your Windows Live Profile where the updates will populate your “What’s New” feed – a service similar to that of Facebook’s own News Feed. The “What’s New” feed also populates the “What’s New with Your Network” feed on your friends’ Windows Live homepages, too. These feeds keep track of your activity across the Windows Live network (new blog posts, new photos uploaded, etc.) as well as your activity across the social web.

Of course, the service we’re most excited about today is Facebook. Although announced earlier this year at CES, it hadn’t actually gone live until now. But today, your Facebook status updates can be incorporated into your “What’s New” feed just like any other service.

For those in Europe, this latest Windows Live update is especially nice as Windows Live is teaming up with 12 of the most popular sites including Italy’s community and entertainment website for web and mobile (Dada); one of France’s largest video sites (Dailymotion.com); the fast growing internet radio and music community website in the UK (Last.fm); and some of the most popular social networks in Europe, including Netherland’s Hyves.com.

In addition to the new services (see the complete list below), you can now invite your friends to join your Windows Live Network from MySpace, Hi5, and Tagged, which join Facebook and LinkedIn as sites that allow you to safely invite friends.

I don't see the Facebook web service add in on the home.live.com page. Where do I get to it?
