To make sure you have all the current assets please follow the ~Before Starting~ guide.

~Before Starting~

Android

If you're planning on porting to Android, please follow the steps outlined in this guide. This will include:

  • Downloading the latest version of Unity. Make sure to select porting to Android as an extra feature to install.
  • Downloading the Cardboard SDK for Unity (as well as their demo if you wish)
  • Downloading the Android SDK

iOS

If you're planning on porting to iOS, please follow the steps outlined in this guide. This will include:

  • Getting an iOS developer account.
  • Downloading the latest version of Unity. Make sure to select porting to iOS as an extra feature to install.
  • Downloading the latest version of Xcode and iOS SDK (not the beta version).
  • Following instructions for setting up Xcode porting to your iOS device.
  • Downloading the Cardboard SDK for Unity (as well as their demo if you wish).

    Hi Adina, Tobiah,

    your show is great. I love it and I have learned a lot thanks to you! Only two remarks:

    1) The screen is often impossible to read, Maybe you can talk with other Channel9 presenters that also often show code (specially MVA contents) to figure it if they use other recording software, resolution, zooming, ...

    2) Can you please also provide some info about windows phone. From the software side it should be straight forward, but can I use cardboard also with my Lumia 950, ... How good would Cardboard work with win phone? Are there alternatives for unity and win phone? Some hints to be inclusive toward windows phone devs would be great.
