This challenging game of correctly arranging numbers in non-repeating sequences in squares and columns is now found in just about every major newspaper, on hundreds of websites, and on PCs and personal media devices all over the world. But as fun as it is, writing a computer program to automatically solve the puzzles was also pretty fun for Samuel Aina, who came up with a rather clever solution using SQL Server and T-SQL! Samuel has posted an article showing the steps he took creating the T-SQL procedures that provide a step-by-step solution to a Sudoku puzzle. Excellent job of using coding to have some fun! The article was based on a SQL Server 2000 solution, but we think you Coding4Fun types will enjoy recreating it in SQL Server Express.
