Description
Dave Glover's has made available a pretty fun Windows Phone 7 Project template, Windows Phone 7 Social Viewer Application Template Released.
This template helps you build a C# "Social Viewer" Windows Phone 7 app, one for which you get all the source for.
Using it is very easy and Dave has created an 11 page doc to help get you started with template, from how to install the template, to using it for your project though final tweaks to make it a fully social app.
To get started, download the zip from his post, read the doc in it, take the zip in the zip (making sure it's unblocked) and copy it to your Projects folder. The rest I've grabbed shots of below.
In the end you'll have a complete and working "Social Viewer" app you can build on, tweak, or after apply the finishing touches, use as is!
Below is a snap of the included doc, which provides all the details you'll need to finish integrating your new app with the major social services, how to make it interact (i.e. post to, tweet/re-tweet, etc), Twitter, Facebook, etc.
Like the best kind of projects, this has sparked a number of ideas and things I'd like to do with it... hum...
