Technical debt is the set of problems in a development effort that make forward progress on customer value inefficient. Technical debt saps productivity by making code hard to understand, fragile, difficult to validate, and creates unplanned work that blocks progress. SonarQube is the de-facto Open Source tool to manage down technical debt. In this session, presented by speakers from SonarSource and Microsoft, we'll show how SonarQube is effective from the developer to the CTO at understanding, managing and analyzing debt, in particular being able to see differences in debt from one point in time to another, as well as observing trends over time. Then we'll showcase the results of collaboration between SonarSource and Microsoft that integrates SonarQube analysis with build in TFS/VSO for .Net and JavaScript code, with a pointer to bits that you’ll be able to download and use immediately.
