Eron Kelly is a 14 year veteran of Microsoft with a broad set of experiences in product management across the Microsoft Office and Cloud and Enterprise Divisions. He is currently the General Manager responsible for product marketing for Microsoft SQL Server and the Data Platform. In this capacity he leads core product marketing, technical readiness, and value proposition for the Data Platform. Before leading the SQL product marketing team, he was a General Manager in the Windows Azure group leading an incubation effort focused on Microsoft’s commerce platform. Prior to that, he started and led the product management team for Office 365. As the founding member of the product management team, he led the team from early development of the business case through launch of Office 365. He has also led the business strategy team for BizTalk Server and E-Business where he was responsible for pricing, licensing, long range planning, business and product strategy. Previous to joining Microsoft in 2000, Mr. Kelly was an Assistant Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble on Bounty Paper towels and served as a Captain in the United States Air Force responsible for the development and testing of infrared windows materials at the Air Force Research Laboratory. Mr. Kelly earned his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 kids – including coaching lacrosse and football, skiing, snowboarding, travel, and enjoying Washington wines.
