Steve Tramack is a Senior Engineering Manager in the Alliances, Performance and Solutions Engineering organization within HP’s Enterprise Group, responsible for Microsoft solution development activities. Steve manages the team responsible for the development of the Infrastructure-to-Applications Converged Application solutions for SQL Server, focusing on Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Database Consolidation and OLTP appliances and reference architectures. This includes products such as the HP Database Consolidation Appliance and the HP Enterprise Data Warehouse Appliance, powered by SQL Server Parallel Data Warehouse. Steve’s team also focuses on other Microsoft SQL Server solutions, developing performance and best practices collateral and reference architectures. Steve’s team produces application characterization and solution integration documents, presentations and demonstrations, and has developed the Sizing and Configuration tools for a number of Microsoft applications. Steve wrote HP’s Performance and Configuration guide for Exchange 2003 and 2007, and is a frequent, featured speaker at Microsoft and HP conferences, including Microsoft Tech Ed, HP Discover, and HP’s Microsoft Academies. Steve, a 16-year HP employee with over 27 years of industry experience, lives and works for HP in Nashua, NH.
