What is NT AUTHORITY\Network Service ?

It's being used on my IIS box to run web sites, and it's been granted write access to certain folders.

But I'm not sure where that's set up at.

I looked in Groups / Users and don't see something that says "Network Service"

I'm sure it's in the alphabet soups somewhere.

It's a Security Principal "built in" to Windows. It has no password either.

So, where do you tell it that it can write to a certain folder?

EDIT: nm. Found it. Folder permissions, just type in "network service".
