    Mine wasn't showing the line numbers by default. You can turn them on like this: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms165340.aspx

    Maybe you already said to do that and I missed it...

     

    Edit: Never mind, got farther in the video and you do show it. :)

    Maybe my settings are off but near the end (1:22) you say to close the window and then double click the program.cs and it will open a preview version. But on my version of Visual Studio Express 2013 a single click does that when goes from the Solution root. You then say to double click the program.cs to open the edit version which is what does that on mine.
