Download this episode
Take advantage of the new capabilities of Microsoft Cloud OS Platform to build highly scalable, extremely efficient and profitable hosting services. This session focuses on three technologies; Datacenter scalability, resilient and cost effective storage, and dynamic networking. Hyper-V server virtualization in Windows Server 2012 R2 offers industry-leading scalability that makes it the cloud platform of choice for multi-tenant clouds and mission critical workloads. The Microsoft Cloud OS Platform provides a rich set of storage features that enable you to take advantage of lower-cost industry-standard commodity hardware without having to compromise performance or availability. In addition, Windows Server 2012 R2 makes it more straightforward to manage an entire network like a single server, providing you the reliability and scalability of multiple servers at a lower cost. A new in-box multi-tenant VPN gateway opens up a broad range of scenarios including the hybrid cloud scenarios such as connectivity between customer data center and hosting provider datacenter.
Objective: Learn how Windows Server 2012 R2 enables hosting service providers the ability to build highly scalable and profitable service using new capabilities of the Microsoft Cloud OS Platform including datacenter scalability, resilient and cost effective storage, and dynamic networking.
