Microsoft has invested heavily in Service Management APIs and Service Provider Foundation API to enable hosting service providers the ability to deliver multi-tenant clouds. The Microsoft Service Management APIs provide hosting service providers the ability to extend and customize hosting services such as IaaS/virtual machine management, web hosting, hybrid clouds and web farm management. Additionally, these Management APIs can integrate with existing portals or technology from 3rd party partners. The API also enables integration of additional service modules and other solutions such as customer billing. The service management APIs are extensible REST-based APIs that enable enterprises and service providers the ability to integrate their existing systems and tools (e.g., customer portals at service provider) with these new services.

Objective: Learn how Windows Azure Pack, Service Management API, and Service Provider Foundation allows hosting providers the ability to extend and customize their cloud services such as delivering hybrid cloud services to customers.
